69年1月の『ゲット・バック・セッション』の風景を追った同名ドキュメンタリー映画のサントラ盤として、70年5月にリリースされた。
そのセッション自体が、昔の自分たちに戻ろうというコンセプトで行われたため、このアルバムに入っている曲の大半はファーストアルバム以来のスタジオライヴ形式で録音されている。

メンバー間の人間関係が悪化していた時期だったことも手伝って、何となくギクシャクした印象のアルバムだが、アップル・ビル屋上でのライヴ録音曲では久々に息のあったバンドサウンドを聴くことができる。
