Album Description
Ugetsufu means ’music of the rain and of the moon.’ The title was chosen by composer Takashi Yoshimatsu as a poetic evocation of the combination of the two traditional Japanese instruments， the shakuhachi (bamboo flute) and the koto (a thirteen-string zither). Here， the uncontested master of the shakuhachi， Kuniyoshi Sugawara， plays works of rare beauty.
